| Thu 25th Dec 2008 There are no trains today There are no trains today but that doesn't stop public transport serving my local area. Keighley is lucky in that the local Keighley Bus Museum provides a number of bus services that serve most parts of Keighley including the 19 that serves Airedale Hospital and Oxenhope. Here are a few pictures of the first service (11am out of Keighley) as it approaches Airedale Hospital. It is a London Routemaster.

| Sat 13th Sep 2008 Heaton Community Open Day A great event aimed at the community at Heaton Railway depot. I arrived early to get pics of them setting up and stayed late to get a lift direct from the depot back into the train station. |

| Tue 2nd Sep 2008 Leeds and Doncaster Sunshine, nothing to do. What was going on? This was not my summer. It was supposed to be rain and lot of depressing work. Oh well, a quick trip to Leeds and Donny with my camera to get me back into things. I really do need more practice but Leeds is suffering with new construction casting long shadows over the through lines to the east of the station and I just couldn't stop people talking at Doncaster.
Services to Hull were affected by the failure of the swing bridge at Goole and were taking the Selby route |

| Sun 1st Jun 2008 High Level Bridge The High Level Bridge in Newcastle finally opens up this week. Following a press launch yesterday, the bridge was being used today by a special bus service serving Gateshead depot.
When the bridge reopens tomorrow it will only be open to local taxis and buses running in a southbound direction. |

Here are a selection of pictures from Sydneys and Brisbanes suburban networks. Also included are a few trains located in Australias National Museum in Sydney and the rail musuem in Ipswich near Brisbane. The colourful locomotives operated the twice daily train to Kurunda, a tourist village near Cairns. |

| Wed 14th Dec 2005 Bath University Trip I am in my final year at school now, and I am working hard to get good A-Levels. Something that also occurs are the university open days and interviews. Today I visited Bath Uni for an interview. They were very nice and gave me an offer, but I still favour Cardiff.
Anyway, I had 90 minutes on Bristol Temple Meads and got a few pics. A great little treat was a ride home between the power cars 43066 and 43048 |

Well I got more than I bargained for. 950001 turned up in P7, a shunter spewed flames from its exhaust, 43054 was operating on a GNER Train and 322482 left Doncaster with a bigger load than it arrived with. |

It was on its second day of diagrams and operated its first service up the Aire Valley line. A surprise came from 90027 suddenly arriving on a charter to newcastle for the Tall Ships.

Sitting west of the station awaiting a trip south was ONE 156416 which had just been refurbished. The Orient Express went through hauled by 67017 and an MML HST was operating London-Leeds Services. |
